Technology Services Branch (TSB)

The Technology Services Branch (TSB) is composed of: IT Specialists (Application Software/System Analysis, Network System Administration, and System Analysis), Geographers, Geologists, Mine Map Program Specialists, and Supervisory Program Specialists.

TSB provides technical support to various entities throughout the region, including:

TSB also operates, oversees, and houses the National Mine Map Repository (NMMR), an archive of all coal & non-coal, surface & deep, mines throughout the United States.

Established by the Federal Coal Mine Health and Safety Act of 1969, the National Mine Map Repository (NMMR) collects and maintains mine map information and images for the entire country, including data and maps of coal mines in the anthracite coal region of northeastern Pennsylvania.
